First Free Will Baptist Church - West Plains was established in December 1956, with 28 charter members, under the name Bethel Free Will Baptist Church. The church was built on land donated by retired minister, Noah Miller located at the corner of Thornburgh and Garfield. In December of 2006 the church celebrated its 50th year of ministry to the community of West Plains. In that time the church underwent building additions, had several called from the church into full time ministries, and faithfully supported the state and national ministries of Free Will Baptist. And, continues to do so. The church relocated to 1814 County Road 6460 October 1, 2014 with the first service held October 5th. The land was purchased in 2001 and work began on the structure in December of 2009. Services were held in the basement until the remainder of the building was completed. On Sunday, September 8th, 2019 the first service was held in the new upstairs sanctuary. The church is Moving Forward to continue to reach souls and be a light on the hill to the community.
